Opening Ceremonies

Saturday was a busy day.  The players and coaches had orientation meetings, got their Cooperstown uniforms (one red and one blue jersey), marched into opening ceremonies, then competed in several skills competitions.  We have lots of photos to share today.  Some of these photos were taken "inside the compound" by Coach Sterling, giving parents a look inside at the boys' room and dining experience.

The boys found some time in the morning to do a little more pin trading with other teams  They are gathering quite a collection to bring home.

Opening Ceremonies were held inside the main stadium at Cooperstown Dreams Park.  This panoramic photo shows all the teams packed in a ring around the field.  Each team was announced as they paraded onto the field carrying banners brought from home.

Two skydivers dropped from a plane high above the field to deliver the American flag and the Cooperstown Dreams Park flag.

Shot from across the field, the Tigers stand with their banner for opening ceremonies.

After receiving their Cooperstown jerseys, hats and socks this morning, they had team photos.  Here they are wearing their shower shoes to the photo shoot.  They are carrying their cleats in their drawstring bags.

This is not the official studio team photo, but it's a good one!

The boys were waiting for player orientation to start in the big tent.

Food!  Dining tent.  Coach Sterling says he was very impressed that all the players ate their dinner first, and the ice cream last.  We have a well-behaved bunch of boys!
